Tricolor Juice and Tricolor Popsicle

Tricolor juice and tricolor Popsicle were made by my seven year old daughter to celebrate Indian Independence day. You can also give similar fun activities to involve the kids in  any kind of celebrations. Some of the other activities include egg painting, making colored ice cubes, decorating
cakes and cookies with co loured icing, making salads with their favorite vegetables and fruits etc. If you have any fun idea that you would like to share, please do share using the comment box below.

So coming to the recipe. We have made orange, white and green juices using orange, banana milk and kiwi. You can change one or two fruits according to your taste and favorite colors.

Ingredients
For Orange Juice
Oranges - 2
Sugar - 2 tbsp

For White Juice
Banana - 1
Milk - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 2 tbsp

For Green Juice
Kiwi - 1
Water - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Method

To make tricolor juice
Squeeze the orange juice by hand or using a juicer. Mix the sugar. Strain it and keep aside.
Grind the banana and sugar to a smooth puree. Add the milk and blend. Strain and keep it ready.
Wash the blender and puree the kiwi with sugar. Add water and blend again. Strain it through a strainer and keep aside.
Serve in clear glasses as shown below to make a beautiful presentation for Indian independence day or republic day. If you do not want to serve as juice, proceed and make tricolor Popsicle.

To make tricolor Popsicle
Pour the orange juice into the Popsicle mold to fill 1/3rd of it.
Let it freeze in the freezer for about 1 hour until it is partially frozen.
Add the banana milkshake on top of this juice. Freeze again for another 1 hour.
Now add the kiwi juice to fill the Popsicle maker.
Insert the sticks at this stage. Freeze overnight or for at least 5 hours before serving for it to set.
